Description
Mitsue is a rather withdrawn individual, soft-spoken yet terse. Most people could hardly tell you their name, let alone anything of their personal life. This wall is one they've taken great lengths to maintain - whether for their own protection or that of others.Socializing is a convoluted game that it cares not to participate in. Unfortunately for it, to conduct proper research requires collaboration (and funds. Twelve know it is sorely lacking in the latter.) So, as a self-proclaimed historian, Mitsue must brave the uncertainty of other people with its best polite smile. Not that anyone has ever seen it; it wouldn't be caught dead without its helm.
Appearance
Head to toe, every ilm of Mitsue's skin is kept covered at all times. Their only identifying features are their diminutive stature; their white-scaled horns, the left one being chipped; and their stunted tail. Measuring at a mere four fulms and ten ilms, just over a hundred ponze soaking wet, they hardly cut the most imposing figure... (Maybe the mask is meant to compensate somehow?)
Hooks
Certain character spoilers have been redacted; click on/highlight the blacked-out text to reveal.
♦♢ 01.
Mitsue has a morbid fascination with the ancient city of Mhach, especially as it was in its twilight years - and its involvement in the war that brought a calamitous end to the Fifth Astral Era. It's the one subject that will get them to come out of their shell of their own accord. Although, not everyone may be as eager to discuss Mhach's more "taboo" practices so openly...
♦♢ 02.
Preservation is integral to understanding the past. Therefore, Mitsue has taken it upon itself to recover precious artifacts from even the deepest levels of Amdapori ruins (for lack of the means to delve into Yafaem proper.)
It would be more than willing to part with any relics it finds to someone able to take proper care of them - seeing that it is duly compensated, of course.
♦♢ 03.
Those with aethersight may note that something is rather... off about Mitsue. Their aether is rife with astral energy, their very being permeated by darkness. Whatever could have caused such an imbalance, they are not keen to tell, but (despite their best efforts,) there is no denying the toll it has taken on their body.
♦♢ 04. !must be discussed OOC beforehand!
OOC
Hi, call me Nether! I'm 23 years old and use it/its pronouns.
My usual active hours are after 6pm (US Central) on weekdays, or any time during the weekends. That being said, I have a limited social battery, so I may not always be available even if I am technically online.
My replies can take a while to form, and I tend to get pretty anxious about writing, so I ask for a bit of patience & understanding. Regardless, I always do my best to respond in a timely manner!Below are some general guidelines/personal boundaries:
♦♢ 01.
While I have no issue with writing heavier subjects, I expect them to be handled respectfully. Anything involving sensitive themes (graphic violence, abuse, sex, etc.) must be discussed ahead of time.
♦♢ 02.
I reserve the right to disengage if I no longer feel comfortable with a given scene - likewise for OOC conduct.
♦♢ 03.
IC ≠ OOC: My character's words & actions do not reflect my own and vice versa. Furthermore, disclosing information OOC does not necessitate characters having that same knowledge- that is, no metagaming. If you've seen me post pictures of Mitsue unmasked, no you haven't <3
♦♢ 04
I am open to working out prior relationships - friends, rivals, whatever you have in mind! Just send me a message and we can talk more in detail.
♦♢ 05.
Romance is not completely off the table, but I would only consider it if we've built up enough rapport. This is only in regards to writing a serious relationship; I don't mind idle flirting or the like.
♦♢ 06.
I have no interest in ERP at this time. It's simply not for me ;^^
♦♢ 07.
I would hope this one doesn't become an issue, but I'll say it just in case: Don't try to argue with me about it/its pronouns or wriggle out of using them by saying it's "too confusing". You don't have to understand why someone would choose to refer to itself this way in order to respect that choice.
All I'm asking is for you to use the pronouns you have been explicitly told to use, to the best of your ability. I'll take a few clunky sentences over me or my character being actively misgendered. Make an effort.
Thank you for reading!
